MISSION STATEMENT

Toes up, knees up elbows back ( T,K,E-) is the technique and process to change and improve athletic ability. This way we can create a new muscle memory to improve your technique, speed and confidence in all athletics.

T,K,E– This technique builds you into an athlete to accomplish your vision and dreams.

T,K,E, TOES UP. KNEES UP, ELBOWS BACK.

Application of force may not be applied to its maximum without a 90% angle for a vertical and horizontal movement in athletic movement.
A 90% angle (dorso flex) in the ankle and vertical and horizontal position of the Tibia/Fibula ( calf muscle) and Femur (quad working in coordination of hamstring muscle, hip flexor muscle and the oblique muscle gives a significant amount of force application in athletic movements.
When the arms ( elbows ) is set in a 90% angle, movement by relaxing the shoulders and allowing the biceps and triceps to function naturally ( back and forth) by pushing the elbows back to a high point gives and allow movement to its best vertically and horizontally, now performing faster and more explosive movements.

The PROCESS.
The ultimate process of T,K,E ( Toes up, Knees up, Elbows back) development uses plyometrics, a kinetic energy. creating a “SHOCKWAVE’ TRAINING” process that develops the tendons and muscles to generate more explosive movement. This process increases your performance in speed to higher levels and longevity in sports and health.

S= STRENGTH- the capacity of an object to withstand great force or pressure.
H= HORIZONTAL – parallel to the plane of the horizon.
O=OSCILLATION – regular variation in position around a central point
C= CORE – the part of something that is central to its existence
K= KINETIC – relating to or resulting in motion and the forces and energy associated therein.
W = WAVE – propagating dynamic disturbance of more than one quantities.
A= AGILITY – move quickly and easy in multiple directions
V= VERTICAL – moving straight up at an angle of 90° angle.
E= EFFICIENCY -an action designed to achieve a goal with little to no wasted energy.

I started sprinting as part  of an overall program to reach and maintain pique fitness so as to age well.Since meeting Coach Gordon, TKE has become my focus, my thought, and prompt as I train and compete as a masters sprinter. It simplifies and distills for me what can be a surprisingly technical task, running fast.Coach Gordon introduced the philosophy of TKE at our first workout. I was a complete beginner and TKE has been central to my training and is completely applicable at every level of ability. TKE has helped me in so many ways. It helped me realize that I don't need to be focusing on trying to perfect my every movement, but only focus on three simple movements: toes up, knees up, and elbows back. I started off with my elbows not going far back enough and just trying to get my foot down as fast as possible.Once I started with Coach Lieon and he walked me through TKE, after a couple of months, I instantly saw results with my times dropping and getting compliments on my form. My elbows were going back father, which was allowing my knees to come up which allows me to cover more ground. And with my toes coming up, my foot was dorsiflexed, allowing me to put more force on the ground to move forward.Focusing on these three movements helped me drop my times while thinking less about what I'm doing and just trying to execute in every practice and race.

In situations where I have to perform, like baseball games, tke is an easy focal point for me.Instead of letting my mind wander or think about unnecessary things I have learned to focus on my technique. So when running I have a strategy to focus on executing that allows me to push myself without holding back.Leion has also taught me that this is applicable to the other parts of my life like hitting. When I start getting in a slide and hitting bad I take a step back and a breather and focus on my hitting technique. I have learned so many lessons from Leion, but my favorite is that how you feel in practices is your default emotions when you get to game or competition scenarios. T.K.E has helped me in sports and in life in ways I never thought before were possible.it has altered my trajectory on the football field converting from playing offensive line in high schoolto being the leading tackler on kickoff a year after for Austin college, while also playing fullback.I was then out of the game of football for 2 years coming home because my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.later dying right before a tryout I had with UH. I did not make the team although with the T.K.E training methodsI was able to maintain my sanity dealing with rough times and run 22 mph for 5 seconds for the first time and deadlift nearly 600lbs.I continued to work my hardest following my mothers passing under the TKE training methods and continued to messagecoaches at HCU and talk to coaches at UH to try and find a new place to play and finally achieved my dream of getting a D1chance with HCU giving me a walk on spot to play running back. I've trained for a long time under theT.K.E training process and along with my physical advancement it taught me how to face my problems and addressthings in professional manners at all points in time to maintain the fact of any individual being able to accomplishanything they put there mind to, rather than seeing something and taking the stance of it being unattainable.I am eternally grateful for the doors it has opened for me and would not have had it any other way with who I feelI was destined to train with, and the style that I was foundation-ale constructed to train like.
